Win7 64 will not boot

Hello, I was directed here by the malware forum. We tried many fixlists but so far nothing works.
I have a Dell Inspiron 570
win7 64 home prem
will not boot to windows after a Windows Defender Offline fix
Goes to System Startup Repair but can not fix problem

also I have ran a hardware diag on the HDD, all good
ran chkdsk, all good
I have 3 restore points I also tried but fail to complete

Issue most likely is that you had a pretty nasty bout with malware, and it did not leave quietly. Windows was damaged on a core level.

If this was a rootkit/bootkit, and I suspect it was, the MBR was probably damaged. You can try going to a command/DOS prompt via the repair/recovery menu and running a few basic commands:

bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot
bootrec.exe /RebuildBcd


This can take some time, so make sure you are plugged into AC power if you have a laptop.
