    Vista
    Three wireless PCs
    One Mac
    D-Link DIR-655 N Gigabit router.

Trying to add a Western Digital external hard drive to network.

My network is a secured network.

For some reason I cannot see my WD drive... I have it connected to the D-Link router USB port.

I'd love to connect the drive to my network so I can run backups wirelessly for all of my computers.

    Thanks in advance.

You need to load the shareport firmware for the router. Go to support.dlink.com and follow the SharePort link.

............and you also need the SharePort utility supplied by D-Link.

How can I do that using a Linksys Cable Gateway WCG200 Vers. 2?

I have 5 PCs (Windows XP Pro SP2) and a 4 bay HDD rack with USB connection. Is this possible without a host PC for the rack?

The WCG200 does not have that capability, sorry.
