I'm sure that there are several threads like this, unfortunately the solutions I've attempted haven't been very useful for me. As of late I've been suffering from a google redirect virus. It hasn't actually been harmful at all. My computer still runs at optimal speeds and I still have phenomenal internet connection speeds.

The issue lies with both Google Chrome (I loved it until now...) and Firefox (second best browser). Whenever I try to perform a google search in either browser I'll get the desired results list. However when I click a link it redirects me to another site. When I flush the DNS or clear my browsing history it works fine temporarily, but then moments later it starts redirecting again. I've ran Piriforms CCleaner to remove cookies, I've ran CCleaner's registry fixer, I've also performed several scans on my computer both normally and with Windows in safe mode using Webroot Internet Security Essentials 7.0 and I'm still having issues. I'd like to be able to fix this so that I can stop using IE 8 x64 (beta) and my iPod for browsing the web now and get back to Chrome.

Don't know if this info helps but I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Okay, I've gone through most those steps, I have a Goored log and a TDSSkiller log (which found no infections). TDSSkiller didn't find any infections at all. So far after rebooting my router and modem and running those scans, I'm still dealing with redirects. I should thank you now for your assistance chaslang.
