wbem missing folders (has snmp xml thats it!)

    After removing too many viruses to name here,

    I found out that c:\windows\system32\wbem

    only had two folders: snmp and xml

    Also, all the files were missing (the minimum I restored was framedyn.dll and wmiapsrv.exe) all the others are missing (as compared to a "normal" WINDOWS XP PRO directory.

    Is there an "easy" way to restore these folders without using the windows o/s cd? Reason: I do not have much faith in the cd doing a proper restore without messing up all the other customized procedures!

    Sounds to me like you were delete stuff you should not be deleting. The wbem folder should probably have about 6 total folders under it (and 3 more under those 6) and a total of about 150 or more files.

    If you have deleted these files, you are in the wrong forum (try the Software Forum) and your are probably going to have to do a reinstall.
