you might want to sign up for a gmail account. mine automatically filters that crap out. accasionally get the good old home loan application spam but all in all it works great. if you need an invite let me know and i'll give you one.

I use Spamfighter. It is roughly 95% accurate in removing spam I do not want to see, meaning some spam does get to my inbox and about 99% accurate identifying mail I want in my inbox, meaning a few rarely go to spam that are not.

I use spambayes , once its trained up to a decent standard its pretty accurate. Plus if its not sure about a message it just puts it in the junk suspect folder.

I have mine set up with my ISP on their server to only accept email from people in my address book. Known spam is sent to a folder I never see unless I go there on purpose (and there has literally never been one sent there that wasn't). Suspect email is sent to another folder, and I get a synopsis of what is sent there once daily. In the last two years, I think I've had five emails sent to the suspect folder that I actually wanted, so I clicked on the link to add them to my address book.

It also lets me put whole domain names on the approved list, so I don't have to add each one individually from, say, my office.

I knew I could get a good answer here!!!! Thank You all!!! I downloaded mailwasher, but for some reason did not accept my e-mail password and I could not find the way to fix it; but choose and downloaded spamfighter, what do you think??? I do not even see when the spam is sent to the garbage, that one is working fine and I am happy again (thinking in what if I really need an enlargement?) Ja, ja, ja.:) :) :)

okay, I'm trying this out, but having a spamfighter ad at the end of my e-mails COMPLETELY defeats the fundamental philosophy of trying to get stuff out of my e-mails that I don't want in there in the first place. What are those Danes thinking??!!

    Hey MA,
I tried this out and it put 2 e-mails I didn't want as spam into the Spamfighter ordner, so I marked them both, hit "freigeben" which probably means "allow" in English and they both disappeared completely from my Outlook Express. I can't find them in the trash, in the inbox, in the draft, no where! Now what do I do to get them back? Is there any way to back up and get them back?
