Hello, I have been having the same trouble for about a month now. I have something or someone changing my computer settings. It seems to occur after installing yahoo messenger, however it does not occur on any of my friends computers. Anyway after installing messenger and restarting I find that I can no longer log into my computer. Something has changed the password to my user account. But not only that they can change the status of the account, the access to the account, even the name of it. They have also created several accounts as well coming up with several names such as fleaflicker, seasex, hotchick, flyboy, etc. I have tried everything I know possible. I have tried virus scans, firewalls, spyware detectors, the works, even restoring the computers numerous times and used a program called dban to completely wipe the hd and it still comes back. I have attached my hijackthis log to this thread in the hopes that someone will see something that can help. Even if you don't see anything in the log, any help and information to resolve this situation would be greatly appreciated.

[IMG] Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

[IMG]After doing ALL of the above and you still have a problem, make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below thread to properly use HijackThis and attach the log:

[IMG] Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis
    • Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around..
[IMG] In your next post, please make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order:
    • CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender
    • Bitdefender - from step 6
    • Panda Scan - from step 6
    • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
    • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
    • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!
