C'mon, now I am no spokesman but I have used EVERY uninstaller out there and I will tell you now, just pony up a few buck for this: http://www.revouninstaller.com/

After I waited till they had a sale AND I found a coupon after a bit of Googling I ended up getting the Pro version for $14.99.

If you're that so worried that you HAVE to uninstall everything, get this and after a few uninstalls you will be glad you did.

Good! But isn't even the free version superior to the others on the market. Even the pay ones? The pay version of Revo does give you far more "control" over what you delete.. i.e. advance scanning and literally deep registry cleaning if you KNOW what you are doing. I am schooled in the Windows Registry so I do an advanced scan all the time. But you can choose moderate or safe scanning as well. And of course this is after the program does its own uninstall so you know you're getting the leftovers.

Glad you're happy with it and glad MajorGeeks is offering the free version. But keep an eye out for the sales! Then do a google search for coupons!

Being a freak for downloading free trials i have needed a good uninstaller and i use Your Uninstaller,now it's not the cheapest but it has served me well in getting rid of most if not all the rubbish left behind from other uninstallers.

I had problems with it in the past and I refunded it, but now that it's on discount. I have decided to give it another chance..

I bought it but here is an email I sent to support which I believe bring up valid points worth mentioning and discussing here...let's see what they say:

In the past I have purchased Revo Uninstaller Pro and refunded it because when I uninstalled Java, it broke my Firefox plugins and cookies and everything so that when I ran Firefox it seemed as if it was the first time for me to run it....
I have decided to give it another try and I usually format my system, then install everything using Revo Uninstaller Pro while monitoring the installation... I have 2 concerns though:
1) What If I install program A, then B, then C, then D....if I later on decided that I want to uninstall program B, Revo uninstaller will delete all the registry of program B, but will it also break Program D which was installed AFTER the program B registry entries were created and backed up with Revo Uninstaller?
2) Some programs launch a separate installer during setup, example, if I install "BlackBerry Desktop Software" it will also install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008....
So what happens in such cases ? does the monitor of Revo Uninstaller capture that as well or not? What is the best way to uninstall such a program in the future should I wish to....?

Please guide me as to what is the best method to uninstall programs so I dont break anything this time.

Finally, I always have System Restore turned off, is it essential to have system restore ON for Revo Uninstaller to function properly or can I leave it disabled? thanks
