    Hi, I'm connected to internet through my Uni, usually use IE but just downloaded Mozilla, problem is it can only look at my uni based sites, no outside. i know its something to do with the proxy settings, as im they have to be changed. but to what? can somebody please explain in very basic steps that i cannot mess up?

    Check the proxy settings in your IE (Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings -> Proxy Server) and see if there are any. If so, just duplicate them in Firefox's (Tools -> Options -> General -> Connection Settings).
