Hey, how is it going for you guys?
My monitor recently out of the blue looks something like this.

It has greyed out areas on the screen. It's only on my monitor, so that means if I take a screenshot, it wouldn't show up on it. I have a feeling that I need a new monitor, but I'm not sure. It could be some other problems that I cannot point out. I've tried to see any loose plugs, but no luck. Also a few notes:

-The refresh rate is at 60 Hertz
-My resolution is at 1024 by 768

Thanks a lot for any help.

The screenshot is showing the grey lines, which should mean it's not your monitor. Have you tried updating/reinstalling your graphics card drivers and physically reseating the card (if it's not onboard video)

I had to use photoshop to color in the lines where I see them on my monitor. =P

    No, I haven't tried that yet. I think I will. Thanks. =)

Oh, heh. Well if it wasn't showing on the screenshot, then yeah it's likely your monitor. Can you borrow one for testing purposes? Or hook your monitor up to another PC? Graphics card drivers aren't going to make a bit of difference if it's monitor failure, I'm afraid :\
