I am a newbie and have installed Ubuntu 10.10 to a spare external 20 gig HD and am booting it via usb. I have it now set up the way I want. I am learning how to move around in it and find that I am slowly moving away from Windows. I have cloned one HD to another using ddrescue to see if it works and it did. Now when I change something I clone it to be safe.
I have a 80 gig HD with Wxp Home on it. Can I make a 40 gig partition on it using Gparted and then clone the 20 gig Ubuntu to it? Is it simple to do?
