Opening email attachments crashes my browser

    hello! All of a sudden I cannot attach files or open attachments without it crashing my browser. This applies to Chrome, Firefox and IE and I´ve tried both Outlook and Gmail. I´m also using Moodle and if I try to open an attachment there it crashes the browser. Just stops responding and only way to shut it down is by ctrl-alt-del

    I have trend micro virus protection and Malwarebytes is set to scan my laptop every day. My OS is Windows 7.

    Any advise anyone?

    I was too quick to attach the fault to Moodle too ... it must have been a coincidence before as I can open files from Moodle now.
