I wanted to view a celebrity video from MSN and was asvised I needed to get the appropriate video flash player. I allowed the popup to download the player but got a boatload of viruses and at least one trojan.

I went through the proceedures (much easier now than two years ago, THANK YOU so much) and will try to attach the logs to two threads.

    HELLLLP!!

My trend micro pro will now start as it should as far as I know but then it will shut down, a balloon will appear and say I have no security click this balloon to fix the problem and I will click it to see the microsoft security advisor tell me there is no protection. Then trend will start again and the warning will go away.

Also Trend will not complete a virus check, stopping around 74%. I appologise for there being two mbam logs. I must have run it twice.

Looks pretty good.....tell me what these are:
Run thisDisable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

Make sure the guest account is disable in user accounts.

Then Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it(Note: if using Vista, don't double click, use right click and select Run As Administrator). This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now tell me how things are running.
