hi, first i am a novice so i plead total ignorance.
i have recently bought a 2nd hand computer and logged onto the net, for a while it was fine but then it started.
my prob: when i dial up using my wireless connection i noticed the blue monitors going off in the connection status. without (me) surfing at all or opening my browser - over an hour it seems like 8-10 MBs has been transfered. i have turned off windows update i have zone alarm but its obvious when thats updating. when i installed kaspersky antihacker and looked at the connections being made i found various remote addresses, going on and off. (without me opening my mozilla)
i figured out how to block the packets with kaspersky, (i think) but then the remote addres would change, i would then block another, and this would continue for e.g 2 hours, and i am tired.
here is a list of some of the ip addresses i tried to block, - however for some reason after blocking these i could no longer surf , so i reverted to ZA and closed kaspersky.
