I assembled my own computer some 4 months back and installed 4 GB RAM. When I look at computer properties or run CC Cleaner it states that there is currently 3,25 GB RAM and 3,2 GB RAM respectively. Now...does this mean that some of my RAM is malfunctioning?

Thanks in advance for answering nub questions ;)

NO it means either a). You have a 32Bit OS (Windows or Vista) and the dont have the capacity (archititure!) to do deal with 4Gb of RAM. You will only ever get to use 4Gb with a 64Bit OS> Do a quick google on 4Gb RAM and you will see what I mean.
