Help find what where internet traffic is coming from

I've been monitoring my IP traffic using Internet Traffic Agent. While I was out of the house and not using the PC, it logged 103 Mbyte of traffic (98 recieved; 5 sent) in a 20 minute period, all from the same IP address, 195.13.50.100.

I have tried to convert the address to host name, but with no success. Can anybody explain what could be transmitting such as large amount of traffic?

 

Chances are that they are just searching your IP Address for open ports to try and compromise it.

There is alot of hackers out there that will sniff IP Addresses just to find open port that they can take over and use for themselves.

Probably you having nothing to worry about unless it shows up again.

 

It really could be anything. It could be a portscan, but that seems like a rather high data rate for a portscan. You may have already been compromised, and that could be an attacker planting some kind of a file on your hard drive for later use.

 

Thanks for the help. I tried the address finder and it was www.sportinglife.com - a site that I have noticed forces firefox to use 100% CPU, perhaps because it is continually downloading pages.
