Default I am looking for Tips on bye good headphones

I am looking to bye another head phone set This is the kind i got http://www.koss.com/en/products/head...ize_Headphones

I don't like it

It hearts my ears be cause of the Presser in the head phones there suppose to be silent head phones or what ever you call them i mean they do cancel out the noise yes but it barely has any sound to block out the rest.

I mean even if i set me Speakers and my volume controls all the way up it barely make much of a difference.

What is the best thing to look for in headphones for higher Volume.

If your looking for comfort over anything don't buy them over the internet,go into an electronics store and try them on,you can also test the audio quality in there. Audio in general is very subjective what one person likes another may not so don't trust what one reviewer says about them, consult many reviews until you find a top performing product.

For higher volume I'd recommend USB 'powered' headphones if your sound card has a weak output.

In the options of your speakers there are a couple of settings you can pump up for more volume, one is to enable LOUD,to do this go to control panel, sound, right click your speakers/headphones,enhancements and tick loud, make sure your levels are all the way up also,if you have more than one device such as headphones and speakers make sure both the levels are maxed.

The other is to open the graphic equaliser which is usually located in your audio icon properties at the bottom right of the taskbar depending on your sound card, once you find it bump all the frequencies up to the top.

Honestly my laptop was way too quiet when I got it I could hardly hear music but after these two tweaks it's as loud as the TV,While I'm doing DIY I listen to lectures from 12 feet away with the volume at 40%.

I have a subwoffer system hooked into my computer its like 600WAtts or some thing pretty loud and i can Vibrate my up stairs if i wanted to.

Them head phones i bought i got at a Walmart store i think they where like 20$ or some thing There good for drowning out sound but like i said all my settings are maxed and my speakers with the Subwoffer i had it pluged into my speakers and maxed out the volume and it still was low.
