Can't join a domain

A pc crashed and I reloaded it's system restore cd. However it does not give me the option of joining a domain.
I reloaded xp and it solved that problem but it was missing numerous drivers and would take me to long to solve those issues. Also it is a boot leg os and I do not want to use.
I believe I am missing files from the os. I went to the properties of the Local Area Connection properties and clicked on tcp/ip. But I am stuck and do not know the files I am missing.

 

What version of XP is it? Home or Pro?
