Im running Windows Vista Home Premium. AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56 1.80GHz. 958 MB of ram. 32-bit operating system. All on a HP Pavilion DV6000. My Printer right now is a HP photo smart all-in-one c4180

Now my problem is, Ive had this printer working perfectly before hand. I use to Plug it in Vista would find and install software automatically and i was able to print after a min or two. It is a USB printer. And now if i plug the printer in it will not read its there. But it makes the Beep noise as if i plugged something in and unplugged something. So it nos its there. But comes up as Unknown Device and will not work with it. I tried Installing all the drivers from HP website. And tried it from the CD that came with it. With the CD it comes up as Admin rights needed. When i am the Admin of my comp. And nothing works. This was out of no ware. I tried it on another computer using vista and it worked fine. So its my computer.

    Things ive tried
Installing the right drivers and uninstalling any other drivers
Tried CD that came with the printer
    Tried Manually installing the printer
Ran Multipleb scans for everything, virus, malware, Reg problems, No luck.

Any help in the right direction would be great!

when you try to install the software, try right clicking and installing as admin (instead of double clicking). also, have you tried a different usb port? i know on my comp in my study, if i plug my wireless adapter into a different usb port, it doesn't recognize it (i have no idea why).

Ive tried to run it as Admin but it wont let me select that option?

Ive also tried all 3 of my usb Ports. BTW a Mp3 works fine in my usb. So does my mouse.

Sometimes, malware will deny you admin rights even though you are admin. Have you been experiencing any inconveniences while you are using your system? i.e. sluggishness, pop-ups etc.
