Recently my computers hard drive died. I was unable to back up by disc but I managed to copy some of my files and move them to friends via msn or my gmail account to be retrieved when I installed a new drive. I added the new drive yesterday and then retrieved the 100 or so music files I had from a friend. When I ran WinZip to open them, I got a message about a potential dangerous file extension .LNK. I then ran Norton anti-virus and nothing turned up. Is it safe to proceed? I am running XP.
