Just a friendly caution -- most of these are longer music vids...well, medium long. So there's about an hour of music, all told, in the links in this post. So you may want to get yourself a cold one and settle in or do 'em one or two at a time and pick up later from where you leave off, if you're interested.
![]() These are some music vids I've been watching/listening to lately. Here's BB King, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Jimmy Vaughn and, first time I've ever seen this guy, Robert Randolph on pedal steel: A rather quiet version of "Layla." Eric Clapton on acoustic guitar and Mark Knopfler on electric. (Just ignore the accidental feedback @ about 20 seconds. It's over almost immediately and there's no more of it during the rest of the video.) And here's an older Knopfler working out on a Stratocaster: And then back in time to a much younger Knopfler and Clapton doing a 10 minutes plus version of Dire Straits'/Knopfler's "Sultan's of Swing". And here's Eric Clapton in a performance of "Layla" more in the vein of the "Derek and the Dominoes recording," but even better (besides Derek and the Dominoes didn't have the backup singer in that dress! ;-) I've been listening to various Neil Young versions of "All Along the Watchtower" since I heard one of them for the very first time a couple of weeks ago. Here's one: Last but by no means least....Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughn playing Stormy Monday. "The eagle flies on Friday and Saturday I go out to play...." And goodnight Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are.... ![]()

Besides being a lot of fun, for the band at least, this video answers that age old question
"How many people can you fit on a stage?" |

And then there's this bit of light-hearted, almost parody, country music....uh.....WARNING: those who are offended by frequent veiled/not so veiled references to marijuana should not view this video. I suppose you could argue that the song is intended to be a genuine cautionary tale. But that just ignores all the humor and fun they're having doing the song with Willie Nelson right there with them onstage. Anyway here's....
I'll Never Smoke Weed with Willie Again )
