corsair xms2 or corsair xms2 dominators?

im stuck on what ram to buy now,i have no idea which one are the better to buy here.I have corsair xms2 with timing at 4-4-4-12,where the dominators are at them same timing.Now,can someone please tell me what one is the better buy cuz i dont know jack about ram..All i know is that corsair,gskill,kingston are the top of the line ones.

 

The Dominators have "DHX (Dual-path Heat Xchange), EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles)". Other than these extra features, they're the same from what I can tell.

If you have RAM with the same timing (4-4-4-12 XMS2), I wouldn't bother trying to get RAM that just has more features that won't make a noticable difference in performance. I doubt you'd be overclocking (which most likely wouldn't make much difference anyway), and I'm sure regular XMS2 RAM will be fine for SLI. As for this "EPP", again I doubt it would make a noticable difference.

Better isn't always cost-effective, and bragging rights aren't worth burning a hole in your wallet. I think I've stressed this enough before.

Upgrading from xms2 to xms2 dominators would be a colossal waste of money, considering you will see no noticeable performance difference. Also, the dominators aren't even the best ram.

Either way, thats a huge waste of money. If you are really going to blow 350-300 bucks on a pc upgrade, assuming you have a top of the line gpu, cpu, mobo, soundcard, etc... try buying some neat peripherals. If you are into gaming (which you better be with xms2), get some z-5500 speakers or something.
