hp pavilion dv9000 laptop won't turn on

    My HP dv9000 won't start up when the Display lid switch module is plugged into the power button board. I've already taken it apart several times and the only thing that seems to be stopping the computer from booting up quickly and readily is plugging in the display lid switch module.


    so what could the problem possibly be?

    If i removed this part what would the effect be on functionality of my laptop?
