I currently have 3 computers on my home network. I am wondering if I can do a backup of one of these computers to my host computer. I dont have a cd burner in this particular computer. If anyone knows of a simple way to do this that would be great!!!!! Thanks

Well, you could always share out the C: drive of the 98 machine and then map a drive on XP. Or pull the 98 drive out of that machine and slave it into the XP.

pulling out the drive is a good idea. though too big a hassle. I have shared the c drive on the 98 machinebut where should i go from there?

Ok lets start over!!! I have a cd burner i could use in this machine and then of course burn myself a set of restore disks.
BUT!!!! I'm bored tonight and wanting to see if there is a way to do it over my network.

Even though this solution involves shelling out some cash, it's an awesome way to back-up EVERYTHING. Ever heard of Norton's Ghost? Look into "ghosting" a drive. You may even find some freeware or shareware out there for free that can accomplish this task for you.
