    Hello All:
I've removed multiple virus and rootkits from HP Elitebook Windows 7 32bit laptop using multiple tools. The last being TSSKiller. After the latest restart I get the dreaded BSOD stop 0x0000007b. I've used chkdsk, /fixmbr /fixboot, /rebuilt the bcd..but no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. I've attached a FRST log.

You need to uninstall all antivirus programs except one. You seem to have at least Avast and Trend Micro running and possibly Microsoft Security Essentials.

Download this >> View attachment fixlist.txt

Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST.exe on your flash drive.
Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
Run FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach)

Now can you boot into normal Windows?

System still doesn't boot, getting same BSOD error. I can't uninstall virus programs, since I can't boot. Safe mode doesn't work either. Fixlog attached.

Okay that remove a bunch of problems but not sure we will be able to figure out what it was that you removed/fixed before you came here that caused the PC to break. But let's try a little.

First please run a new scan with FRST like you posted in your first message and attach the new log so we can see if anything else shows up.

    Attached is new scan.
I can clone the drive to try and save the files. Just hate to give in to a virus caused issue..

I do, very much so, appreciate your time and patience.

No more problems found. Let's try the below just for the heck of it.

    Download this >> fixlist.txt

Save fixlist.txt to your flash drive.
    • You should now have both fixlist.txt and FRST.exe on your flash drive.
Now reboot back into the System Recovery Options as you did previously.
Run FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait.
The tool will make a log on the flashdrive (Fixlog.txt).
Please attach this to your next message. (See how to attach)

Now can you boot into normal Windows?
