I'm in a bind and need help fast, so excuse me if this has been covered before. My gigs are separated into C drive and D drive. The C drive is just a hair away from being full (10 gigs) and I'm getting tons of emergency messages. What do I need to do? Is there a way to combine the two so that I have all 30 gigs in one place? If so, how do I do that? I tried to move the Program Files folder into D drive, but it said that some programs won't work if moved.

Please let me know asap. My computer is super slow now and I'm worried about it crashing on me.

    Thanks so much!

Is your D\ drive a recovery partition set by the manufacturer? If it is, you won't be able to use it for that purpose. Try deleting some of the programs you don't use,to free up space. If you're not sure what something is for, just ask. You really should consider a bigger drive. It's not hard to do and they're packaged with a program to move your OS to the new drive. You can also use the old drive for data like documents,MP3s and pix. BTW, when is the last you defragged the drive? That might help speed things up.

Both Drives are usable and are not for recovery only. When I bought it (it happened to be an open box special online) I spoke with the company and they said that you can combine the two, but at the time I didn't think it was important. I'll try Alan's program and let you know how it goes.

Any other suggestion are welcome and thanks!

you may want to also consider moving the pagefile / swap space to the D drive.

How do you do this? My computer is suffering. It's frozen right now. I've tried to Defrag but there's not enough space to do it properly, I've tried to back-up my files so that I can use Application Mover, but it's freezing (I'm sure due to the same reason) and my System Restore is disabled, too. I've removed programs to no avail and now I'm afraid I'll have to remove the large ones and spend my day re-installing everything.

Let me know about the page file/swap thing. I have no idea what it means.

can I move "MY DOCUMENTS" to another drive?

I was able to make Application Mover work, however, it only freed a few hundred MB of space. Is there anyway to move MY DOCUMENTS to my D drive? It's the file that gets bigger each day and it will only cause me grief in a C drive that's close to being full.

Please let me know if and how I can do it. Thanks.
