Disabling a touchpad on a D600 laptop

    im looking on disabling this damn touchpad on a laptop ; i have an xternal USB logitec 2 button optical and it goes ERRATIC and crazy every few seconds. I went to exchange it but i still get the same damn problem. I wanted to know how the heck to disable the damn touchpad on this dell..I disabled it through BIOS but it still works when i reboot windows...thanks for the help!

    Can you disable the device in Windows Device Manager?

    i think there should be some software for it...Synoptics Touchpad maybe? anyway, there is usually software you can disable it through.
