My friend's printer has broken and I said I'd got a spare one - the Lexmark x3580. However, as it's a wifi printer it has an internal wireless server. However, I can't seem to find it here!
Is there a way to plug it in and use it just with a normal plug?! I can't find a socket for a normal plug and the manual isn't helpful!

    Thankyou.

So has mine - but mine has got a power lead that plugs into a power strip - which is what I cannot find!

The USB port is directly above the power supply. This is from your manual.

Ok, thankyou; however, I haven't got a power supply! Can I purchase another one?

    Of the so-called power strip.
The power lead plugs into #5 which is a transformer.

You want a USB printer cable.

Are you now saying you also lack a cord that plugs into the power port (#5 on the above picture)?

Thankyou, but the annoying manufacturer (!) of the printer needs a bigger power pack as illustrated in no 5 of the image below.

You did not load the image.

So it uses a power brick.

Since you have a spare printer but have no cables for it, it is basically useless. Tell your friend he has to buy a new printer because your spare printer lacks parts.

Apart from the USB cable in post #10, all you need is the powerpack and a regular cable.
