    dunno if i post this in the wrong thread :confused: ..however, i need to know from the gurus here if i can update my NOD32 antivirus software without direct connection..FYI, i'm currently living in my college without internet connection..so i'm hoping that there's a way that i can update it by just dwnloading the update files..:)

    There isn't.... This, along with file exclusion from manual scanning is something that has been requested at their forum for future releases. The only version that has this capability I believe is their enterprise edition.

    I know that Kaspersky and BitDefender have the features you are looking for. Both offer good protection. Doesn't your university provide an antivirus? I know mine offers McAfee Enterprise and Kerio firewall. You my want to ask them about it.
