woe is me

I figured that I didn't need to become "technical" with computers any more. The world of visual user interfaces and the internet really intimidates me and I thought I could buy security with Norton. But I stepped in some sludge with the antivirus xp 2008 virus. I have been on the phone with just about everybody in India at Norton and Microsoft and I realize that if I want to have a properly functioning machine I am going to have to take responsibilty myself. I am afraid the learning curve will be steep for a while and free time is not my strong suit right now. Education is expensive. I figure I have to get rid of Norton and look for something else that is more effective. I am very glad to be at MajorGeeks and look forward to adventures.

but i suggest you go to our malware removal forum to get rid of your virus, it will ask you to remove norton and clean your machine.
