   hi, i went to the realtek websit and i am trying to update my sound card, but im not sure which one to download. i have a windows xp operation system.

   Try your motherboard manufacturer first for any updates to the onboard sound chip as its generally safer.. they may use Realteks technology but sometimes they change stuff... so its better to use the ones your motherboard maker supplies.
