IP-Tools 2.30 and port scan

    i just downloaded this for the whois and the trace route that comes built in

    i was wondering if the port scanner that comes with this is like the port scans that bounce off my firewall and give me warning messages that piss me off all the time ?

    just wanted to know before i started playing with it and pissed other people off

    it seems like a cool little program

    Yeah, that would be the same port scan, however, it depends which ports you scan... I suggest not to randomly scan port, it may be considered a malicious attack or something.
