I jumped the gun after arriving at the thread below via Google as I was experiencing very similar, but not identical problems to the user:

    http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=133021&st=15

I followed the steps in the thread and removed several types of malware. Now, each time I start the PC, I get an error box with the title RUNDLL.

    "Error loading c:\windows\system32\dahomah.dll"
"The specified module could not be found."
    "OK"

Additional logs to follow - any help appreciated...

Make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {35E3555A-9046-9F0D-675A-023421D28DEA} - (no file)
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {a43385f0-7113-496d-96d7-b9b550e3fcca} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dahomah.dll] C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\dahomah.dll,ftrttbf

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete the below file if found (it probable is gone already):
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\dahomah.dll

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log.

You also need to get your Sun Java Version updated!

Uninstall the below old versions of software:
    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 7
Then install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now.

Thanks for the advice. The RUNDLL prompt no longer appears at startup and the computer appears to be running fine.

I've attached the latest HJT log - is there anything there I should be concerned about?

    You're welcome.

Your log is clean. If you are not having any other malware problems, you should work thru the below:
    1. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • go back to step 8 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    2. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
