IE7 media player problem

hi guys.. i thought i would give IE7 a go since i would be getting it in an update soon anyway. the only problem i have found with it so far is if i click on a video link on a website it wont play. strange thing is firefox wont play them now either. anyone came accross this problem before? i have windows media player 10. thought i would ask you'r advice before i try a reinstall or roll it back to IE6. thanks for any advice.

 

just an update. i just tried to play another web clip and it said it could'nt play because im not connected to the internet. any ideas?
