xp service pack 3

    is xp service pack 3 still available for download?
    this is in laws computer, cant afford another just yet, but only has service pack 2 installed.

    Eldon supplied the link for the SP3 installer. It says for IT Professionals but it's the one you'd use. Of course, there will be quite a few updates to download and install after SP3 is installed. Advise your in-laws that Microsoft support for XP ended 4/8/14 so, if they go online under XP, they'll be vulnerable.

    Because of the end of support, I tried different versions of Windows as replacements. The version that worked best for me was Vista SP2.
