I have to unplug my wireless router and/or modem every day so that I can get a signal or connection with my laptop.

I am using a linksys router (type b), 3 com pc card (type b), and a cable modem. I tend to think it is my router since I have no problems with my pc's connection. Also, I am running windows XP.

Let me know if you need to know what my basic router settings are.

First I'd say update the router firmware. Goto linksys and find your model and how-to..

ok, I have determined that I have the newest firmware already. I've upated the wireless card the other day.

Wouldn't you know, I've had no problems today.
