    Hi!
What free online e-mail program would you recommend to be the most dependable and user friendly? (Someone I know isn't interested in Outlook Express anymore and would like something accessable online).
    Thanks for any suggestions!
    :D

    HI!
I have MSN (Hotmail), Gmail, Yahoo!, Net Zero, and Aim mail.
Of all those I have not had a single problem with Gmail or Net Zero.
The others , especially MSN have let me down a few times too many.
    Gmail is my favorite!
    :)

Before you go setting up a new email account, I'd check to see whether the current ISP offers access to email via a webmail feature. My ISP is Earthlink. I use Outlook Express, but I can also access my mail via Earthlink's WebMail. In fact, I could elect to use WebMail alone for access to my email and completely stop using OE. And, this is with my existing email account. My mother has the same situation with her ISP, a small ISP that serves about 8 counties in Ohio; she uses OE, but can access her mail via web browser. May ISP's provide this option.

Like Tony, I use Gmail, MSN and Hotmail ( now both are the newer beta Windows Live Mail ) plus Opera Mail and Mail.ru all pretty reliable for me.

Gmail and the newer Windows Live Mail have have some great options as in Calendars to store appointments, birthdays and other important dates, which are easily accessed wherever you have internet access.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

The person asking the question is with Sympatico, which does provide internet access via WebMail, but he's moving to a different location where they only offer wireless with a different provider. He doesn't want to bother with the Outlook Express anymore, he just wants something where he can sign in over the internet, anywhere he may be with the laptop, whether it be at home, or while travelling.
    Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your help. Unfortunatly, the Gmail was a bit overwhelming, and he decided to stick with Outlook Express.
    Thanks anyways, appreciated.
