Not sure that this issue is spyware, but anyway...

My computer works fine for most of the morning every day. By lunchtime I'm getting some hangtime with sending IMs or emails, or opening websites. By about 3 p.m., I literally wait several minutes, hearing the processor churning, before I can open or close things on my desktop.

Could there be some sort of spyware running that's more active in the afternoon? I can't seem to track anything down that would cause this, and I've never heard of this problem before!

Ideas?

Let's check to be sure!

Please follow the steps below:

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:
