My system has slowed considerably in the last two weeks; I have always had Spybot, Spyware Blaster & Adaware on it and well as Stinger and update/run them regularly. I also use Spydoctor which seems to find a few that aren't found by the others. Last week I scanned online at Norton's site and also downloaded new version of McAfee. After full scans for a week or so, had to remove all mcafee products, taking up too much ram on top of already existing problems, was impossible to get anything done. No scans reveal anything, however, I'm get a lot of errors lately, mostly unable to read/write.. referencing a particular location... not always the same. Ran memory checks by using pc doctor.. lots of errors there too. Don't know if it's memory, hard drive damage or spyware at this point. I can't seem to run more than two apps at a time w/out coming to a halt and hd spinning for 20-30 minutes, ctrl/alt/delete don't always remedy that either. I use Hijaack this from time to time, I came here and read the requirements before posting log.. downloaded other apps suggested & installed and/or ran. Nothing found. What I can tell you is this; adaware stops functioning when hitting a particular registry entry, which i found in regedit to refer to something called dxlutbuilder.. can't locate on web what this is for, haven't edited naturally, and spydoctor stops working entirely when hitting a particular file - oledb32.dll. Do I just replace file from backup or is this indicative of a larger problem.. There seem to be so many at this point. I don't know what else to do at this point.. any ideas?

Sounds to me like you have hardware issues and maybe software issues. If so, you should be posting in the Hardware or Software Forums.

If you believe you have malware problems this would be the correct forum. Did you run ALL of this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal ?

    If not, please do so.
If so, and you still have problems that you believe to be malware, please follow the steps below.

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).
