A friend recommended jdownloader as a "download manager", basically for downloading large files or queueing up requests from sites that only let you do one download at a time (or one an hour...etc)

I researched it pretty carefully and it looks like this is a clean legitimate app. Has anyone here heard of any virus/trojan issues because of it?

Of course, something you download with it might have a virus, but the app itself seems clean and pretty useful...anyone disagree?

I looked around a bit and it APPEARS to be legit, has it's own discussion forum, site, etc.

Nothing more than the usual user problems from what I can see.

You could test drive this in sandboxie for added security, though. And set a restore point right before the download. :wave:wave:wave

Yes very legit as its the main downloader app I use these days as its open source and really kept upto date.

I would not suggest an app I dont actually use and I use this one.
