Why my system takes very long time to close ?

My computer takes a very long time to close. ( Almost 3 to 5 Min )

Also it is very slow when burning a DVD.

It wasn’t this way a month ago.

Only applications I changed were Updated Zone Alarm Pro & Updated Spyware doctor. I uninstalled Spyware Doctor.

I am not good at this & know nothing about DOS or Registry so please tell me step by step instructions on what to do.

Win XP Pro

 

Do you have a lot of programs running on startup? Computer might be shuting down thing you don't even know are there. Click start->run, type 'msconfig' and click OK. Let me know.
