I don't know if this is the right forum for this question, but I'll give it a try.

I have an 'old' desktop IBM Aptiva which I am planning to donate or recycle. BUT FIRST I want to get all info off the hard drive so no one can later access it by any means. (I've heard stories of people who have erased or deleted or even re-formatted and yet the info is STILL able to be accessed.)

    Any advise?

    Thanks.
