I am running your READ ME FIRST thread and at the COMBOFIX.exe step:

If you use Windows XP and do not have the Windows CD,
ComboFix includes a method of installing the Windows Recovery console
by downloading a file from Microsoft.
To install the Windows Recovery Console when you do not have the Windows XP CD,
    please follow these instructions:

I downloaded a file from the microsoft site: WindowsXP-KB310994-SP2-Home-BootDisk-ENU.exe

and dragged it over to combofix.exe as instructed.

It doesn't appear to install the Windows Recovery Console.
What happens is I get the combofix "Open Security file warning(as if I double clicked it) RUN step
(which is in the next step after Windows Recovery Console install).

    Is it ok to proceed?
or Did I NOT download the right microsoft file?

Ok, you can ignore/delete this post. I managed to figure out how to run it.

    ...Thx
