Firefox - How to associate desktop URL shortcuts with icon

    Platform: Windows 7 Home Premium
    Firefox: Version 38.0.1

    A desktop shortcut to a web address in Firefox can be created by clicking on the URL box (see photo # 1) and dragging this to the desktop. However when I do this, the shortcut is not associated with the Firefox icon (see photo # 2). How can I associate all desktop Firefox shortcuts to the same icon?
