Vista - can't enter java-based chat rooms

    I have a Dell just one week out of the box with Vista.

    I can't enter/load java chat rooms. I have tried IE7.0 & Foxfire 2.0. I have set the IE7.0 to operate as it were IE6.0. I have removed and reinstalled all Java add-ons/controls.

    Any ideas? anyone?

    (as if all the driver issues weren't bad enough...)

    look in internet options ,advanced section under tools see if theres java built in or not.may need to activate it by clicking a check on it

    I'm 99.9% sure I have enabled java through the internet options. (not at that PC right now)
