My hard drive has a small (8mb or so) partition on it. I don't know what it's for, but it's been there since I've had this computer. I've never done a Clean Install before, so I was wondering what do I do about the partition, if anything at all?

    I'm running Windows XP Home.

XP always leaves 8mb of unpartitioned space. No idea why.

Possibly so. But then the question remains, why does XP Home do it as well, seeing how it cannot read or support dynamic disks?
