I'm helping a friend out and trying to fix her computer from some errors. I downloaded an AVS, firewall, CCleaner, Spyware Blaster, Spybot and AdAware and ran them. I updated her Microsoft (98), ran all of the scans and then I finally went into her msconfig because it was taking so long for her computer to start.

I was referencing the entries on google and found two that I can't even find and one that came up as a virus, but it was not caught by the scans. Any suggestions?

The names of the files are:
    utvjgqcp c:\windows\system\utvjgqcp.exe
    qssjfqh C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\utvjgqcp.exe
    Belt C:\WINDOWS\Belt.exe
    Dinst C:\WINDOWS\dinst.exe

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:
