    HI all,

I have Windows XP Pro Sp1 and i use dial-up networking to connect to my broadband.

Whenever I turn on my computer, the username and password are blank, evan though i ticked save my username and password.

I think it may be due to a specific program, because i remember it working before.

    Thanks,

    Kasio

OK ....then explain "and i use dial-up networking to connect to my broadband." That has me confused (not an unnormal state for me, by the way :) )

Sorry Toni ...didn't see you there ...

Some adsl connections still require dialling if using a usb adsl modem, even using a router it requires dialing, the router just does it for you.

by internet login do you actually mean the password for your internet connection ? or do you mean saved passwords for things like this forum.

Are you using something like CCleaner or other cleaning tool that clears forms and the like.

If its the internet connection is there an option you can tick next time you need to type it in that says 'Remember Password' ? or you can right click on the connection and select properties and have a look where the username and password options are for the same option.

I am using an ADSL modem and it requires me to use windows dial-up networking to connect to it.

I am not using any cleaning software. I am using Pipex UK and it doesn't come with it's own dialer.

I mean the username and password to connect to the internet.

I click save username and password and when i restart, the fields are blank

Start --> Settings --> Network Connections.

Right CLick on the Pipex Connection and select Properties

Under one of the tabs you will see a box for username and password. you will need to put in your password and tick the box that says remember password

Verify that the Network settings of the Dial-up Networking connectoid are correct: 1. Right-click the Dial-up Networking connectiod, and then click Properties.
    2. Click the Network tab, and then confirm that Client for Microsoft Networks is installed and that it is selected.
