<windows root>\system32\hal.dll

    I tried boot my computer and keep getting this error message:
    windows could not start because the following is missing or corrupt: <windows root>\system32\hal.dll
    I tried opening in safe mode and when I pick my operating system which is Microsoft Windows Whistler Personal, it brings me back to the error message.

    I download a zip file of the hal.dll but now how do I get that onto my computer that will not boot.

    Please HELP:cry
