Niece's laptop

    I've been given another laptop to clean up. I know this has a few things on it. When I go to click a link...like the forgot password link on the site, it gives me a totally unrelated ad. My niece had been using a torrent site for music and such...

    I ran malwarebytes and saved a log file, but can't find it...I'll run it again if need be. Sorry

    Rerun Hitman and have it remove all the PUP's. Reboot and rescan with Hitman and attach the new log. Tell me how things are running.

    Here's the log after running Hitman again. I did reboot and so far things seem normal. I haven't yet seen an ad pop up for some random thing when I hover on a link.

    I'll watch for a couple of days.
