FTP will connect, but no web site

    ok so i can connect to my host and every thing through my FTP client, and i can see all the files that are there. but when i try to go to my web site through a browser window the page is not found.

    Some websites require a www in front of the URL. Maybe try that?
    Is this a new website that has been set up just recently? Maybe the DSN hasn't been resolved yet. Too many variables involved.

    Does this FTP site allow logging on as anonymous?
    IIRC, a browser will try to connect with this username by default.

    thx guys i got it now i didnt relize that the domain service took 24-72 hours to update the DNS settings. lol all i had to do was wait
